Autumn Photo Shoot – for families

This is going to be a super sweet post, because the photos I have to share are just so special.  I always wonder how families find me, Google is the Queen for searching autumn photo shoot for families.

However recommendations from friends and family is amazing as well.

This little family found me and I’m so thankful they did.  We had the most fabulous afternoon at Lady Dixon Gardens.  Autumn colours are in full swing and so was the giggles & love between this little family.

Cheeky grins, rosey cheeks and bags of energy for this session as we chased squirrels and climbed trees.  The love and affection this little family has for each other is very special.

So as I scrolled through this family’s photographs and selected some for this post, I smiled from ear to ear. I feel their autumn photo shoot demonstrates exactly what I strive for in all of my family sessions. There was playing, running, smiling and laughing, leaf throwing, and a whole lot of little human snuggling.

We got really lucky with the weather as well, because it was warm, but not too warm and the overcast skies helped to naturally filter that afternoon light.

It’s never about everyone dressing up in the same style of outfits and posing for some pictures.

For me its always about the connections and the experience that everyone gets out of this. It may seem like a fun trip to the park for your little humans where they can run around & be themselves, as the strange lady with the camera keeps chasing squirrels with them.  For you guys, it’s more about capturing your baby’s growth & milestones.

 

All of these things combined are what your family pictures will show as you display these images on the walls of your home.

This is such a great time of year to take outdoor autumnal family photos. With the cooler weather and changing colours, time spent outdoors is pleasurable and easy.  Trust me!  Your little ones thrive when we are exploring the forests and throwing leaves.
