Can you believe its nearly the end of February already. Valentines Day seemed to creep up really quickly this year.
The day of love…
Seeing all the hearts and flowers everywhere. Insta being flooded with Happy Galintines Day wishes… is this a thing now? Got me thinking. As humans we all enjoy feeling wanted and desired. Its a warm cosy feeling knowing that you belong to someones tribe.
But do we need to wait to Valentines Day to show love. I dont think we do. Love can be seen through my viewfinder at every single family photography session.
Being silly with our best friend brings us so much joy..
Family photography should be about finding the joy and silliness in everyday moments. The everyday moments are the ones that I’ve come to realise are the joyful ones.
Those quiet moments of joy sometimes go past so quickly we don’t realise it. For example holding your sleeping daughter in your arms. I remember being told time and time again. Enjoy these moments because they will pass so quickly. They do pass, like lighting.
Love is treating our fur babies like our own children, certainly they are so intrinsically part of our family it would be hard not too. Family Photography is about capturing all these little moments of love.

Thanks so much Mel for an amazing relaxing photo shoot! Mel is fantastic, she makes everyone relaxed and she is just full of laughter and fun! My mum has COPD and is on oxygen but this was no problem for Mel and she treated her with so much empathy and compassion. Thanks so much for a great wee morning and even better the pics are fantastic ????
